June 3 – Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh received during the shelling of the palace minor injuries on Friday, which he blamed the attack on the opposition tribe, Reuters reported.

He also said that seven security officers were killed in the explosion:

“I thank our armed forces and security services, because they gave a tough response to the challenge of illegal groups, which has nothing to do with the so-called youth revolution”.
After the attack, television station reported on the death of the head of Yemen, but his entourage denied this information immediately.
Later Sadeq Al-Ahmar said that tribal members have no relation to this attack. On the contrary, the responsibility for the attack, he laid on President Saleh, in his words, who is trying, so to justify the escalation of violence in the streets of Sana’a.
Anti-government demonstrations demanding the resignation of Saleh, who has been in power for more than 30 years, continues in Yemen since the beginning of February. According to Western media:
