Yemen: the government signs a ceasefire with the rebels (media)

The Yemeni government signed a cease-fire with the rebel General Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar, said the international media, referring to a spokesman for the government on Tuesday.

Since early February, Yemen is the scene of armed clashes between police and protesters demanding the resignation of President Ali Abdallah Saleh. According to media violence have already been hundreds of deaths.
