The U.S. secretary of state in: Britain, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco

On Thursday Secretary of State Hillary Clinton began a tour that will take it in Britain, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco, announced the U.S. State Department on Wednesday.

“In London, Secretary of State will attend a conference on stability and peace in Somalia. The conference will be chaired by British Prime Minister Cameron Davis, uniting Heads of State and Ministers Foreign Affairs of more than 50 countries, and representatives of UN and African Union, “said the State Department.

In Tunisia, Clinton will attend the first meeting of “Friends of Syria” on 24 and 25 February, called to support the peace initiative of the Arab League.

“She will also meet with the Tunisian Prime Minister Khamadi Jebali and representatives of civil society. Discussions will focus on bilateral cooperation and construction of democracy in Tunisia,” the department said.

On 25 February, Secretary of State and Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika will discuss the preparation of presidential elections in Algeria.
“In Morocco, she will meet with Prime Minister Abdelilah Benkirane the country and representatives of civil society and the country will attend the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of a new building of the Embassy of the United States in Rabat” concluded the department.
