The record of severe flooding that hit Thailand has risen to 506 dead, said the government of the country on Sunday.

Floods caused by torrential rains on an unprecedented scale began three months ago and affected millions of people, mainly in northern and central regions. Hundreds of companies are flooded.

The waters continue to threaten the center of Bangkok (the capital). 8 of the 50 districts of the city were evacuated.
