Thailand / flood: the number of victims increased to more than 600 people

The number of flood victims the largest in 50 years that hit Thailand, is increased to 602 people, quoted by the New China News Agency on Sunday.

The report published by the Department of liquidation of consequences of natural disasters reported flooded 18 provinces so far, including the city of Bangkok.

In the capital, 36 of the 50 districts are partially flooded.

Floods caused by torrential rains on an unprecedented scale, began three months ago and affected millions of people, mainly in northern and central Thailand. Hundreds of companies are flooded.

Experts estimate the damage caused by floods amount to about $ 18 billion.
