Syrian troops accompanied by tanks surrounded the city Rastan and Talbiseh, the place where anti-government demonstrations took place on Sunday morning.

Unrest in Syria began in the middle of March, on the border with Jordan, town Dera’a and shortly after spread to other regions of the country and some suburbs of Damascus. Syrian human rights activists reported that in clashes with security forces killed about a thousand people.
