Syria: non-violent opposition agrees to talk (diplomat)

The Syrian opposition nonviolent agreed to hold negotiations with the authorities of the country, announced the Syrian ambassador to Russia Riyad Haddad in an interview with Echo of Moscow radio on Tuesday.

“We are ready to conduct interviews with the opposition that exists (in Syria) and accepted the dialogue (with authorities),” said the diplomat.

He said the country’s authorities do not consider the armed groups fighting against the Syrian army as a real opposition.

“This is not an opposition, an armed group that carries out foreign orders,” the official said, adding that the militants refused to surrender or negotiate with the authorities, and “obeying U.S. guidelines. “
