Prince Philip left the hospital Tuesday

LONDON – On Tuesday Prince Philip of the United Kingdom was discharged from the hospital after undergoing treatment for a blocked coronary artery.

The husband of Queen Elizabeth, aged 90, spent four nights in hospital after being hospitalized Friday in Cambridge as a result of chest pain.

This is the most serious health problem known to Philip, known to be active and robust. He continues to participate in several activities with the queen, and was recently a 10-day trip to Australia.

Philip failed to reporters when he left the hospital in the morning but still made a hand signal to those who were there.

Six grandchildren, Philip, including Princes William and Harry, have visited the hospital on Sunday.
