Former Socialist minister will be interviewed by Claire Chazal during the 20 hours of TF1 on Sunday night . This will be his first television interview since the affair which forced him to resign from the general direction of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and give up its ambitions for the presidency in 2012.
After confirmation of the interview, counsel for the American accuser, Kenneth Thompson and Douglas Wigdor, explained Friday that Mr. Strauss-Kahn had to give his version and “respond to specific questions about his behavior.” They recalled that the maid had provided Guinean during interviews to the press last July a detailed account of what would, she said, passed on May 14.

The Paris prosecutor’s office has in fact opened a preliminary inquiry in early July after a complaint by the writer and journalist Tristane Banon, who accused the former Minister of Economy of attempting to rape her in Paris in 2003.
