Seif al-Islam Gaddafi, a son of Libyan leader overthrown by the rebellion and killed on October 20, addressed in the night from Saturday to Sunday to his supporters with a brief address in which he vowed to avenge his father.
“The resistance continues. I am alive and free and I am on Libyan soil. I will fight to the end and I will avenge myself,” said Seif al-Islam, quoted by Al-Rai, based in Syria.
Quoting the National Transitional Council, Al Jazeera announced that Seif al-Islam, a member of the clan’s most wanted al-Gaddafi, had been captured on Thursday.
Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi ousted died Thursday, Oct. 20 as a result of his injuries after being captured by fighters of the new Libyan government. The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights demanded an investigation into the circumstances of the death of the former Libyan leader.
