Italy / earthquake: strong aftershock measuring 5.1

On Sunday 5.1-magnitude quake struck northern Italy, several buildings were destroyed, local media reported.

The epicenter of this replica was located at 10.6 km depth.

In the night from Saturday to Sunday, two earthquakes struck northern Italy. The epicenter of the first, the magnitude of which amounted to 4.1, was located at 5.1 km depth. An aftershock measuring 6.0 struck the then outskirts of the city of Bologna.

Four plant workers affected region of Modena and Ferrara, and two women were among those killed. More than 50 people were injured. According to Western agencies, nearly 3,000 people were evacuated.
