Italy: “Red alert” heat up in several cities

The red alert to heat will be given in several cities of Italy from next Monday, hit by a heat wave torrential, said the national civil protection on Sunday.

Depending on the service, it’s all about Bologna, Messina, Perugia, Pescara and Rieti, where the thermometer shows already nearly 40 degrees of heat.

According to the weather service, heat wave will soon reach other Italian cities, including Rome, Florence and Trento. The inhabitants of these cities will bear the scorching heat to the end of next week.
