Iran inaugurated its oil bourse

Wednesday, July 13, Iran launches test mode in its own oil bourse, said the head of foreign department of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), Mohsen Ghamsari.

“The scholarship will probably not prove very beneficial at first, but it is only a first run, and then there are some restrictions on the financial actors,” said Ghamsari quoted by the agency Fars.

According to Mr. Ghamsari, NIOC does “no restrictions” to the list of potential buyers. However, all transactions involving Israeli companies will be prohibited, as well as all transactions that could bring benefits to Israel.
Iran is the fourth largest producer of oil and second largest exporter of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
