Hospital Bombing MSF: U.S. airstrike on Afghan Doctors

Sunday, Oct. 4 – Doctors Without Borders said “sickened” by the Afghan Ministry justifications defense at his hospital bombing in Kunduz, probably by NATO, which left 22 dead the day before: the authorities claimed Taliban fighters were in the hotel and used it as a base “to attack the forces Afghan and civilians. ”

The NGO denies that its premises have been used by insurgents. It points out that if the Afghan authorities and the US military had deliberately targeted the fighters in his hospital, a war crime is proven. “These statements imply that Afghan and US forces have decided together to shave a fully functional hospital, said the executive director of the NGO, Christopher Strokes.” This completely contradicts the first US government attempts to minimize the consequences of such attacks being only a ‘collateral damage’.

A “war crime”?

On Sunday Barack Obama presented his “deepest condolences” after attack and promised a “full investigation”, noting want to wait for the results of investigations “before making a final judgment on the circumstances of this tragedy.” For its part, the UN has described the bombing as “inexcusable”. The air strike might fall under “war crime” if it was deemed “willful through justice,” said the High Commissioner of the United Nations Human Rights Ra’ad Zeid Al Hussein. For its part, MSF has demanded the “total transparency on the part of the Coalition forces”
