Egypt: false bomb threat at the Cairo airport

A stranger has threatened to blow up a plane parked at the Cairo International Airport, reported Al-Akhram site.

According to the site, the terrorist phoned the Cairo airport early morning and threatened to blow up the plane belonging to the UN that was on the runway near the terminal number 4, before asking a ransom 20 million dollars.

The airport was immediately put on alert. Security guards with dogs inspected the terminal number 4 and the plane of the UN, but found no explosive device.

The plane of the UN is intended to transport senior UN officials to other African countries.
