Budgetary supplement for post-tsunami reconstruction in Japan

TOKYO -On Friday the Japanese government Yoshihiko Noda  approved a supplementary budget of 12,000 billion yen (114.5 billion euros) for reconstruction funds for the north-east of the country devastated by the tsunami of March.

“This (budget) will be a great source of energy or an engine rebuild,” said the Minister of Finance Jun Azumi to the press after government approval.

This new package also includes 2,000 billion yen for measures to ease pressure on the Japanese currency, the increase in exports has weakened.
