Brit Awards – Adele sacred British female artist of the year

London – Yesterday Adele won the trophy for the British female artist of the year at the Brit Awards ceremony in London.

Last week the singer, who has won six Grammy Awards for her second album 21, has got the best of several great ladies of contemporary music, including Florence and the Machine, Jessie J and Kate Bush.

In receiving her award from Kylie Minogue, the young woman of 23 years said that last year was wonderful for her, before starting to joke that it looked like a “drag queen” alongside the tiny star Australian.

The interpreter Rolling In The Deep, however, had to bow to the group One Direction for the Brit Award for Best British song.

It is also mounted on stage during the evening, her first performance in the UK since she was operated for a vocal cord problem last fall.
