A California student complained of violent headaches. The doctors finally found the culprit: a tapeworm which had lodged in his brain … and nearly cost him his life. Luis Ortiz, a student from Sacramento (California, western United States), told the CBS television going see a doctor after suffering from headaches and vomiting. Radios of his brain revealed the presence of the intruder, who had taken up residence in a cyst.
“Oh, you have a parasite in your head. We will make you and quickly, because otherwise you will probably die, “his doctors told him, he recalls. “I’m just happy to be alive, because in nearly half an hour I would not have been there,” he said. How a tapeworm, which usually takes up residence in the intestine, got there remains a mystery.
