The United States will continue to help Afghanistan after their departure(Hillary Clinton)

BONN (AP) – On Monday Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that Afghanistan could count on the support of the United States, even after the departure of the troops expected in 2014.

At a press conference on the future of Afghanistan, the head of American diplomacy said that “Washington was ready to support the Afghan people over the long term.” But in return, the Afghans should respect their commitments to reform the country, fight against corruption and strengthen the rule of law, she said.

Prevent the international community would have “much to lose if the country again became a breeding ground for terrorism and instability.”

The conference in Bonn (Germany) is devoted to the transfer of responsibilities for safety, long-term prospects for international aid and a possible political agreement with the Taliban.
