An episode of U.S. “Special Victims Unit” which will air in September in the United States will stage a scenario inspired by the case of Dominique Strauss-Kahn, said the TV Guide on its website on Friday.
In the first episode of the 13th season of “Law and Order, Special Victims Unit,” which will air Sept. 21, a powerful Italian played by actor Franco Nero is charged with sexual assault, according to the magazine quoted a source close to the production.
But a spokesman for the producers said that the scenario was entirely fictitious.
The series, broadcast on NBC, is based on regular business that makes the headlines.
Dominique Strauss-Kahn is being prosecuted in criminal and civil cases for sex crimes by a maid in a hotel of New York, Nafissatou Diallo, in alleged facts dating back to May 14.He was then director of the International Monetary Fund and favorite in the French presidential race of 2012.
His next appearance in the criminal aspect of the case is scheduled for August 23. On this occasion, the floor of Manhattan might decide to drop charges.
