The war continues and promises to touch pads do not stop there. A new competitor to Apple iPad will debut in July, the HP TouchPad. Available from the beginning of July, it will first be marketed in Wi-Fi version with two models, the 16 GB to 479 euros and the 32GB at 579 euro, says ZDNet. Rates equivalent to those of the current reference, the iPad 2.
The TouchPad will have a 9.7 inch screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor dual core 1.2 GHz, a 1.3 megapixel front camera, Bluetooth connectivity, GPS, and a power USB microphone. Configuration again in line with the competition, with the difference that this is not an operating system Android anime this Tablet but WebOS (formerly Palm). The TouchPad can thus benefit from the system “touch to share” that allows terminal users under WebOS exchange data (web pages, documents, music …) simply by bringing their devices.
