“Grease” and “Taxi” actor Jeff Conaway died at age 60 on Friday morning.

(October 5, 1950 – May 27, 2011)

Famous American actor Jeff Conaway, star of the musical 70’s “Grease,” has died at age 60.

His family decided to disconnect his life support system after he was in a coma since May 11, 2011.

Actor for many years struggled with addiction to drugs and alcohol, which came after he received a fractured vertebra and began to use an anesthetic in large quantities.


Conaway made his Broadway debut in 1960 at age 10, he got a small role in the drama «All The Way Home».

The most popular roles Conaway became a taxi driver role of Bobby Wheeler, an American sitcom “Taxi”, where he starred with Danny DeVito and Christopher Lloyd, as well as the role of the smug teenager Keniki in the musical “Grease,” where Conaway played along with John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John .
