Demonstration against the consequences of the economic crisis in New York: 700 arrests

About 700 protesters were arrested in New York while protesting against the effects of the economic crisis on Saturday.

The protesters were arrested for blocking traffic on the Brooklyn Bridge for a few hours, creating a huge traffic jam. The police had given several warnings to move the walkway.

The protesters were arrested for disturbing the peace.

The protesters carried placards on which was inscribed the slogan “Occupy Wall Street” (Let’s take care Wall Street). They denounce the social inequalities reinforced with the economic crisis.
