NEW YORK, NY – The father of Amy Winehouse will release a book, HarperCollins announced Monday that Mitch Winehouse had accepted the terms of a contract with the publisher in the United States and Great Britain for the release of a book entitled “Amy, My Daughter” (Amy, my daughter). The book’s release is scheduled for summer 2012.
The publishing house said the father of soul diva, who died in July at the age of 27, would take the pen to trace the life of the young British star of her childhood in her singing career and his struggle against the ultra-publicized addiction to alcohol and drugs.
Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed. Proceeds from the sale of the book will go to Amy Winehouse Foundation, founded by the father of the interpretation of “Rehab.” The foundation has set a goal of helping children and young adults in need.
