It appears there’s money to be made from the Casey Anthony trial. The producer of “The Jerry Springer Show” allegedly offered Anthony a million dollars to appear on the show. There are speculations of book deals and even a pornography offer for the mother who was found innocent in her murder case earlier this week.
Her life, however, may also come with a lot of debt. Even though she’s out of criminal court, Anthony will be heading to a civil court for slandering Zenaida Gonzalez, who shares her name with the fictional nanny Anthony told the court was responsible for kidnapping her daughter.
Gonzalez said, “I lost my apartment. I lost my car. I lost my job.” Even if the case against Anthony won’t get Ms. Gonzalez’s good name back, she might be getting a big paycheck; she said she plans to sue for millions.
Zenaida Gonzalez isn’t the only one looking for money from Casey Anthony. The IRS wants to collect money from Anthony for back taxes. Also, the search-and-rescue group is considering a lawsuit to regain the more than $100,000 it spent looking for Caylee, Anthony’s daughter.
“I think they knew something and I think they knew that little Caylee was probably not alive,” said the founder and director of Texas EquuSearch Tim Miller.
Even though Casey Anthony wasn’t found guilty for murder in criminal court, she’ll have to pay a lot of money for her lies.
