LONDON – The management of Yahoo announced Thursday to investigate a possible hacking, which allowed hackers to disclose the secret codes and email addresses of more than 453,000 users of a service of the Internet portal.
Yahoo did not provide further information at this time. A group of hackers called D33D Company has claimed responsibility for piracy, saying on its website to have exploited a security hole to tap into a database of Yahoo and disclose information on user accounts.
This little known group so far and said that they wanted to alert “the security officials” to Yahoo and use their “awakening”. The website D33D, registered in Ukraine, was inaccessible Thursday, as the email address and telephone of the declarant.
