Windows 10: Edge would be the fastest browser

Natively integrated into Windows 10, Microsoft Edge is as what is done best in Web navigation. Very soon, the publisher has sought to demonstrate that the tool was a racing machine. Through tests, Edge would be much more swift Microsoft Internet Explorer and 11 advance a same factor from 1 to 3. Edge would and three times faster than its predecessor.

Chakra engine used by Edge.

Now that Windows 10 is in the deployment phase (110 million equipped workstations), independent tests attempt to check Microsoft’s claims. Those conducted by the specialized site HotHardware tend to confirm them.

Our colleagues have scrutinized Chrome 45, Edge 20, Firefox 41, Internet Explorer 11 and Opera 32 in the Windows environment 10. pure speed, through the SunSpider test tool, Edge wins indeed by far the game twice with superior performance to its competitors (see table). Via Kraken, Edge still offers the gold medal, although the differences are less important.

The only downside to the browser, score at HTML5Test which measures its ability to display HTML5 pages, standard today is gaining ground, particularly to replace the Flash colander. At this game, Edge displays less than 400 points, down to its competitors, including Google Chrome (521) and Opera (520).
