Red Hat: OpenShift Dedicated on Google Cloud

Google announces a new collaboration “in the coming months” with Red Hat on the containers. OpenShift Dedicated, platform management of containers of Red Hat, will be integrated into the public cloud platform Google cloud via Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Red Hat launched OpenShift Dedicated month last one. It is a tool to build, deploy and manage applications on the Red Hat OpenShift platform, powered by the Dockers Kubernetes and containers. Dedicated OpenShift can be also used on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The partnership between Red Hat and Google therefore also enables the latter to return at AWS.

This is not the first collaboration between the two companies. In 2014, Google had already supported Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), a popular Linux distribution of many professionals offering the Google Cloud. In addition, Red Hat was one of the first partners Kubernetes project, the draft containerization.

The cloud computing market is growing rapidly. The analyst firm IDC says companies spent $ 7.6 billion in cloud infrastructure in the third quarter 2015, or 23.5% growth year on year.
