Nokia really gets rid of Symbian

Symbian, the operating system used by Nokia for a long time is quite dead. Indeed, the company has a nip in the bud of the latest models on Symbian, the Nokia 600. In August 2011 it was announced that  the smartphone will not ultimately sent to the dealer: Nokia has decided to focus on devices with Windows Phone 7.

Remember that Symbian is one of the oldest systems “mobile”, dating from the early ’90swhen it was still the name on the EPOC Psion PDA. The system, rather late in the past, Nokia touch – the variant with Sony Ericsson and UIQ

In fact, Nokia will keep two systems: a conventional OS, Series 40 – not unlike Series 60, Symbian-based – and Windows Phone 7 system from Microsoft.
