For the future, Microsoft plans to radically revolutionize our workstations with holographic technology. The current prototype is still far from the desired result, but researchers at the computer giant fully intend to get around this project soon.
The project, called Holodesk is to design an environment that displays three-dimensional virtual elements that can physically handle so completely intuitive. Several areas would be revolutionized if this project a reality, computer games, videos through professional presentations. It is the branch of Microsoft Reseach Cambridge is working on the project. For now, the prototype uses the inevitable Kinect and a transparent screen that displays the virtual object. The researcher must then move his hand to the other side of the translucent panel “touching” holographic elements.
Microsoft is not the first to study such a possibility, other manufacturers such as HP have already introduced concepts in this direction. No doubt, such a system represents the future.
