Facebook will launch a music platform

Mashable site indicates that FB would launch a music platform next month in collaboration with three partners: Spotify, MOG and RDIO.

This should be announced at the F8 conference to be held on September 22. The service will allow subscribers to FB to listen to music directly on the social network.

According to two sources not identified by Mashable, Facebook will not provide the continuous listening (streaming), but will rely on its partners to deliver this content. In short, the opposite of Apple, Google and Strategy hosting music content on their own servers.

A rumor that FB is not limited to being a music platform, and Netflix is a future partner …

Details may be announced Sept. 22.
