Elf-Air, an aircraft for city commuting

The idea of using sophisticated and compact aircraft for commuting in town is not new. Nevertheless, it’s exciting to discover concepts of flying objects that may be common in a few decades.

One of the latest design flying planned for urban use is called Air-Elf. This is an innovative aircraft can take off and land vertically like a helicopter. For this, the machine uses a new technology for its wings: Air Caterpillar. The wings have a main structure and numerous small wings can perform movements of rotation. Its size is not very different from a city car. Without doors, the cockpit has a glass roof that opens up to free two passengers. The motor and the luggage compartment are located at the rear.

The designer did not give details about the performance of the machine but was content to say that Air-Elf is able to fly “very quickly”.
