Asus has revised upwards its forecast for sales of notebooks

If we are to believe the chief financial officer of Asustek Computer David Chang,  the manufacturer hoped to reach the threshold of 3.6 million notebooks sold during the fourth quarter of the year. Of course, this goal can be achieved if in the meantime, the health of the global economy does not deteriorate much more …

Regarding the third quarter of 2011, Asus has also reviewed its previous goals (3.6 million units sold) on the rise, without really clarifying the new estimate. The margin generated by the manufacturer, however, should not be at the level of expectations, especially due to the strong competition in the European market and the fluctuations currently facing the foreign exchange market. It is also unclear how Asus will position itself on the market ultrabooks.
