Apple: new iPods coming

They made the fortunes of Apple for years before becoming anecdotal in apple accounts: the iPod could still make a comeback. The firm could indeed soon announce new Walkmans audio / video and presentation could even take place on Tuesday, according iGen.

According to our colleagues, it would be new iPod touch, iPod shuffle and iPod nano, dressed in new colors, a new 64 bit processor and compatibility with Apple Music, Apple’s new streaming service.

This is also the only objective reasons that would push Apple to revive this market while the smartphone is now the quintessential music player.

In its accounts, the iPod is also stored in “other products”, a segment where revenues were still down 10% in the first quarter. On the other hand, Apple may be looking to reduce its dependence on the iPhone, which now represents 70% of its turnover.

In 2013, Apple was that since its release in 2007, the iPod touch has sold
100 million units.
