AMD anticipates even worse than expected for the second quarter

On July 16, AMD will present the results of its second
quarter and we already know it will not be good. The founder has just published
a news release announcing
that its revenues would not decline by 3% as originally planned,
but 8%. AMD claims a “weaker than expected demand in the PC market
general public “which will also result in a decline in gross margins
will amount to 28% instead of the 32% originally anticipated.

The reason for this
slowdown is related to the decrease in demand on AMD APU on which
exudes the highest margins. Consequently, the company must be based on
other families of products whose margins are lower. Other data
of the equation, AMD will integrate a charge of $ 33 million to the balance sheet
Second quarter attributed to the transition from the production tool
engraving at 20nm FinFET process. (Eureka Press)
