Sharapova back in Wimbledon final

On Thursday Russian Maria Sharapova has qualified for the finals of tennis in Wimbledon, beating Germany’s Sabine Lisicki with a score of 6-4, 6-3.
The resurgent Russian, who has been the bookies’ favourite to win the women’s title since world number one Caroline Wozniacki and both Williams sisters all crashed out at the fourth-round stage, recovered from losing her very first service game to sealing a straight-sets victory on Centre Court.

The former world number one will play her fifth Grand Slam final against the Czech Petra Kvitova, who eliminated Victoria Azarenka of Belarus on Thursday (6-1, 3-6, 6-2).
The final tournament will take place  on Saturday, July 2.
