Reported: 366 dead in Turkey earthquake

ERCIS, Turkey – On Tuesday  the death toll from the earthquake that struck on Sunday east of Turkey has risen to 366 deaths, according to Turkish authorities.

A reporter from the Associated Press Television News (APTN) reported that a six-storey building collapsed Sunday in Van. The building contained 46 apartments.

According to the office of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, more than 2,000 buildings collapsed in the earthquake of magnitude 7.2 that struck the region of Van, near the Iranian border.

Thousands of people spent a second night outside in cars or in tents in temperatures close to zero. Relief were still trying to get out of the survivors.
