NBA: Players break talks

The president of the Players’ Association Derek Fisher said he had not been enough progress in the negotiations to reach an agreement and consequently the players had broken their talks with the NBA.

The league has submitted a revised offer to the players Thursday night after nearly 11 hours of negotiations, but Fisher said that the offer did not address the most important issues for the players.

The latter will therefore now come together and discuss with their representatives to consider resuming negotiations with the NBA next week.

Fisher added that he evidently wished to continue discussions with the league to find a way to reach an agreement, but time was not ripe.
