The group Abrau-Durso, one of the oldest wine producers Russia, will produce a special vintage of sparkling wine for the Olympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi, Russia, said the group owner Boris Titov on Thursday.
“There are a number of years, were selected and set aside wine for them to reach the necessary quality at the Olympic Games in Sochi,” he said at a news conference.
Wednesday the group Abrau-Durso became the official Olympic Games in Sochi.
According to Titov, tens of thousands of bottles of this vintage of sparkling wine will be on the shelves of stores from January 1, 2012.
In addition, the group plans to bring to market more than 20 million bottles of champagne in reserve.
However, the company does not disclose the amount of the contract with the Organizing Committee for the Games.
General sponsors of the 2014 Games are Aeroflot, MegaFon, Rostelekom, Rosneft, Sberbank, Volkswagen Group Rus and BoscoSPORT.
