A blitz of negotiations continues in the NBA

NEW YORK – On Thursday the NBA commissioner David Stern confirmed that negotiations would continue with players to try to resolve a conflict that has lasted for 133 days now.

While no major progress has been made, the two sides discussed for over 12 hours with the aim of saving the season on Wednesday.

Stern had as a message to the players to accept the latest proposal before 17:00, otherwise the next offer would be somewhat more bitter to swallow, with a high potential for discord accentuated.

The new offer

The offer gives players up between 49 and 51 percent of revenues from basketball players but officials do not believe it is possible that beyond 50.2 percent.

The previous agreement gave them 57 percent of this revenue source.
