DISAPPEARANCE – The pianist from New Orleans died Nov. 9 evening in Madrid. It happened in a theater of the capital the same day.
The illustrious pianist Allen Toussaint New Orleans, blues legend rhythm’n, died in age 77, said Tuesday, Nov. 10 television station WWL.
The musician died of a heart attack on November 9 evening in Madrid, his family said the chain of Nova Orléans.
Allen Toussaint happened that night at the Teatro Lara, a theater in the center of the Spanish capital. The organizers of the concert had even posted on Twitter a short video showing the piano, singing accompanied by three other musicians.
Pianist and composer was particularly known for introducing in 1960 the harmonies of pop music, the tempo funk and the energy of rock and roll in jazz and R & B of Louisiana.
According to Classic 21 , the artist was to happen with her Friend Paul Simon on December 8 on the sidelines of a charity concert for the homeless of New Orleans.
