Mission Impossible 5: behind the scenes of the incredible aerial cascade Tom Cruise

Mission Impossible 5 . We know. Sweat. But scared too. One of the highlights of the new installment of the MI franchise is senseless waterfall where Ethan Hunt is attached to the fuselage of an A440 taking off. We saw as many different angles in the trailers, but that is the making of proving that Tom Cruise made himself the waterfall. !

And this is crazy

We discover the mega star hanging from a harness while the plane leaves the ground and commentary, Tom admits: “my body was beating against the fuselage the plane, I was scared. ” Lentils seen wear to protect his eyes from the wind; dangle like a mannequin at over 1500 meters above sea level; swallowing the fumes of jet or start getting really cold. Rebecca Ferguson, his co-star, sums up the situation: “It’s crazy.”

This is one of the trademarks of the saga. Tom Cruise itself ensures the craziest stunts to serve a single purpose: the entertainment (and realism). At the top of Burj Khalifa, on the roof of a Eurostar or underwater. So that one sometimes wonders (with actress of the day) if the actor is not a little cracked. But where almost any other actor would have been doubled, ensures the show. Totally. And that’s what made it great too.

Directed by Christopher McQuarrie Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation.
