We know that adapting a video game to the cinema can be very dangerous, ( Final Fantasy ) even suicidal ( Pixels, Doom, Hitman, Lara Croft ), but the project Assassin’s Creed intends to agree the general public and more geeks moviegoers. Expected for December 2016, this epic feature film will focus on the big screen the adventures of Callum Lynch, the descendant of a famous assassin who finds himself in the skin of his ancestor, in Spain in the fifteenth century to foil the plots of Templars and maybe even change the course of history. The video game was known for its stimulating game-play, his throbbing scenario and especially its pageants big cities like Florence, Venice or Paris.
We knew Michael Fassbender is the producer and the hero of this adaptation and it would give the Replica Marion Cotillard , but here the excellent Irish actor Brendan Gleeson ( Irish Bravehearth ) and charismatic Jeremy Irons ( Kingdom of Heaven Dead Ringers ) just joined, in turn, already a promising cast. Deadline also reports that Brendan Gleeson will play the father of Michael Fassbender while Jeremy Irons will play the progenitor of Marion Cotillard
All these people will be led by Justin Kurzel, an Australian filmmaker to watch closely: he shocked his world with the bloody thriller Snowtown and was back on the Croisette last few months to present its very dark adaptation of Macbeth (also with Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard ). Hopefully that Assassin’s Creed the film will be as breathtaking as feasible waterfalls in the video game.
