The tense mustache, hair brushed and lacquered all over 300 bearded gentlemen met from October 2 to 4 in Leogang, Austria, for the 12th edition of the world championship of the beard and mustache. From around the world, from Canada to New Zealand, all paraded before five judges.
Sixteen categories allowed for the competitors, as natural, Imperial or freestyle. Freehold titles, beauty, originality and inventiveness served basis rating. Wildest eccentricities were accepted, except for the coloring.
Since 1990, the event is held annually in different locations. The previous edition, held in Portland, in the US, was won by Madison Rowley. Travel expenses being included as a former winner, bearded dared to put naked in front of the jury this year.
