Iran: Ahmadinejad to visit Latin American countries

On January 8, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will start his tour of countries in Latin America with a visit to Venezuela, reported the TV station Globovision on Wednesday.

In Caracas, the Iranian president will meet with his Venezuelan counterpart Hugo Chavez on strengthening bilateral relations. At the last visit of Mr. Ahmadinejad in Venezuela that took place in November 2009, the two sides signed 12 cooperation agreements in trade, energy, industry and agriculture.

After visiting Venezuela, the Iranian president will visit Nicaragua, Cuba and Ecuador.
